Handing over a government ID is a big deal, and we treat it that way. Your verification data is encrypted, tightly access-controlled, and used for one purpose only: confirming that you're really you.

Your ID and selfie are encrypted, so the raw documents aren't sitting around in plain view.

Never shared

Buyers, sellers, and other members never see your documents — only the resulting Verified seal is public.

Used for one thing

Your data is used solely to confirm your identity — not for marketing, not sold to anyone, ever.

Access-controlled

Only the verification system and, where a manual review is needed, authorized reviewers can access a submission — and that access is logged.

What we collect and why

Your ID photo — to confirm the document is genuine and read your name and date of birth.
Your live selfie — to confirm a real person is present and matches the ID.
A verification result — pass or fail, which is what mints (or withholds) your Verified seal.

Only the result is ever reflected publicly, as the Verified badge. The underlying ID and selfie stay private to the verification process.

The golden rule still applies

Gigolance will never ask for your ID, selfie, or login codes over chat or email — verification only ever happens inside the app. Anyone asking for them elsewhere is a scam; report them from the Trust & Safety tools.
